HMB Assessment Remark/Recheck Request Form

This form should be completed if you think there was a mistake in the calculation of a grade you have received for one of your asessments or if you would like to have one of your assessments remarked. If you are requesting a remark you must have a detailed reason for this request.

Please Note: As a result of this request your grade may increase, decrease or stay the same.

Request a recheck if you think there’s been a simple adding error on your assessment. Request a remark if you think your exam has been incorrectly marked in its substance (you must have a clear and detailed reason to support this request). As a result of this request, you grade may increase, decrease or stay the same.
"Students often ask what they should write on the form to support a remark or recheck request. Think of this form as a chance to speak directly with the faculty member who will be looking at your assessment again. To help them understand why a reevaluation may be necessary, be as precise as you can about where you think an error has occurred. For example, instead of saying “I think my assessment was marked too harshly,” or “I deserve more marks to get into another program,” note specific instances of disagreement and cite evidence from the course to back up your assertions."
